DO YOU FEAR MIGRANTS?

In recent years we have witnessed a mass migration that has placed Europe and its member States to a hard test. According to the Eurobarometer report the migration issue has become the main problem that Europe has to face.
The aim of my thesis project is to understand, through the use of statistical methods, if the language used by media to talk about migrants has contributed to feed the concern in the European States. By comparing the media language of three Member States with a different level of concern, three different behavioral patterns emerged.
The data obtained were collected on an interactive website, in which the alternation of textual and graphics elements guides the users through the reading of the analysis, leaving them free to draw their own conclusions. Read more
